Phyllicia Thomas wins 1st prize!
Phyllicia Thomas won 1st prize for her oral presentation in the CAES Young Scholars Internship Program (Athens). The title of her research was "Detection of mutations in a candidate gene associated with bi-sexual flowers in watermelon"

Watermelon planting day! Oh joy!
The McGregor Lab and Team Boyhan hand-transplanted ACRES of watermelon in May and June with help from graduate peers in the Horticulture Department. The two teams will have 6 watermelon field experiments running this summer at the Durham Horticultural Farm. Of course we are looking forward to tasting the fruit!!

CROPS 2015
Dr. McGregor is currently attending the CROPS 2015 conference in Huntsville, Alabama.
The conference was co-organized by HudsonAlpha and the University of Georgia. It is held at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology and is part of the IPBGG annual retreat.
